HANSA TREUHAND is negotiating the newbuilding of a vessel based on the price and the time charter. The figures are the basis for the financing institutions which will finance (60 % of the vessel´s value over appr. 14 years) against a ship mortgage and an assignment of charter payments.

The newbuilding or purchase agreement will be signed by Hansa Treuhand in the name of a special purpose company.

During the construction period, HANSA TREUHAND will develop the prospectus and the legal framework.

Afterwards participations (appr. 40% of vessel´s value) of the special purpose company are offered to private investors.

The distribution works via a net of asset managers, banks and tax advisors. Currently HANSA TREUHAND has access to approximatley 22,000 investors.

The single purpose companies are organized in the form of a „KG“, whereas the risk of each investor is limited to the amount of his investment and additionally  he receives personal tax benefits.

The fund or single purpose company will be liquidated after the ship is sold.

During the lifetime of the single purpose company the fund will be managed by HANSA TREUHAND. The investors will be informed by annual meetings and reports.
