HANSA TREUHAND was founded in 1983 and is managed by Hermann Ebel and Torsten Schlüter. As an initiator, the company takes a holistic approach. In other words, it supervises projects from the planning stage to the placing of orders with shipyards, ship management and chartering down to sale. HANSA TREUHAND itself bears a large share of the investment risk. Before an issue is launched on the capital market, the project’s total financing is guaranteed by the company’s own financial contribution.

The company’s fleet consists primarily of full container ships, but also includes reefer vessels, gas and oil tankers as well as cruise liners. In cooperation with the highly experienced partners Berenberg Private Capital HANSA TREUHAND launched two private equity investment in 2006 and 2009. Today the product range comprises an aviation investment that started in December 2009 as well.
